The Virginia Historical Society is both a museum and a library. The signature exhibition, The Story of Virginia,
features objects and artifacts that guide a visitor through more than 16,000 years of Virginia history, from prehistoric times to the present.
Gives focus to Virginia’s impact during colonial times, Revolutionary times, and during the early Republic. (Includes significant coverage of the Civil War, as well.)
